- We are now constructing a new cable car that is to open later this year (planning at the beggining of October 2018). During construction, the treetop walk is accessible only on foot. From Bachledová Dolina it is a moderately challenging hike through a 2.6 km long forest with an elevation of 300 m. From Malá Franková it’s a less challenging trip up the meadow, approx. 1.1 km long. From Jezersko you can take a natural trail around Lake Jezero – a moderately challenging hike. We do not recommend taking the trail on the slopes of Jezersko – it’s steep and extremely demanding.
- The treetop walk is in the mountains where the weather can change very quickly and it is windy quite often, too. The trail leading to it is quite natural and leads through a forest. Please, dress accordingly (hiking shoes and suitable clothing).
- The terrain is not suitable for prams and wheelchairs. The hike may be quite challenging for young children and seniors. Consider that when planning your trip. Place small children in a baby carrier. You can rent the baby carrier at our souvenir stand near the hotel Bachledka – free for children up to 1 year, otherwise for a fee of 5 EUR. Upon reaching the treetop walk, you can put your children to a pram, which we rent free of charge.
- Tickets cannot be booked in advance, only directly at the entrance gate and can be paid by a credit card.
- The whole walk lasts approx. 3 – 4 hours.
- The last tickets are sold at 16:00. You need about 45 minutes to get from Bachledova to the treetop walk (consider parking, tickets purchasing etc.). To make sure you get to the treetop walk, we advise you to arrive sooner.
- If you come with a dog, you can leave it in dog crates available at the entrance. No animals are allowed to enter the treetop trail (no dogs, cats, ferrets, etc.)!
- Because of the ongoing construction works near the treetop walk, the toboggan is not open. We will inform you about its re-opening.

Are you open if it rains or snow? The treetops walk is open in every weather unless in case of a storm or whirlpool. In bad weather, however, you will probably not enjoy your walk to the fullest. Views from the treetop walk will be obscured, you will see only the trees and the mist. The access road becomes muddy in the rain, too.
Do we have a place to hide if it starts to rain? Not really. The treetops walk is an outdoor attraction, and there is no large building near it that would provide a shelter. Some tourists may find a shelter in nearby bistros or restaurants on the top and in Bachledova Dolina valley, but they will certainly not provide shelter for everybody.
How many people are in the resort, will we get to the treetops walk?
The capacity of the treetops walk is limited. Take into consideration possible problems with parking, the time you need to get to the treetops walk and buy tickets. Therefore, we recommend not to wait until the last minute and be in Ždiar no later than 2.5 hours before the end of the opening hours. You never know how fast you park and how many people will be in the ticket que. You can also check the situation through webcams or phone us.
How long does it take to buy tickets? It depends on the number of people in the resort, time you arrive, day, weather. Generally, most people come between 10:00 and 15:00, when the waiting times are longer. Longer waiting times are usual for weekends and holidays.
Launch of new attractions
When will you launch the cable car way? We are working hard to build a new cable car way. The expected launch date is the end of the summer – autumn 2018. When we know the exact date, we will let you know through our web and social networks.
When will you open the slide? The slide down from the treetop walk is closed due to safety reasons – due to the construction that runs in the close proximity to the exit of the slide. It is also in our interest to open it as soon as possible, however, we must wait until the situation allows it. Currently, we expect it to be opened together with the cable car way.
