Cable car Bachledka
The journey to adventure along the ridge of Spišská Magura begins right in Bachledova dolina. The modern 10-seater gondola (Gondola Bachledka) is the fastest, most comfortable and safest way to reach the main attractions and slopes of the year-round family mountain Resort BACHLEDKA.
A comfortable ride and panoramic views
Getting to the top has never been easier. The cable car is designed with maximum comfort for all visitor groups in mind:
- Speed and views: The ride to the ridge takes less than 7 minutes. Even during the ride, visitors can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the majestic Belianske Tatras from the gondola.
- 100% wheelchair accessible: The gondolas are fully adapted for families with children and visitors with reduced mobility. There is no need to fold up a pram or wheelchair before boarding – you can comfortably take them inside with you.
- Pet-friendly: You can enjoy the mountains with the whole family. You can also easily take your pet on the cable car.
Which attractions can the cable car take you to?
The cable car’s upper station is located right in the epicentre of entertainment and services on the ridge of Spišská Magura. The range of activities varies depending on the season:
Year-round operations
- Treetop Walk: A unique 1,234-metre-long scenic route with a tower, open in summer and during the snowy winter season.
- Panorama Restaurant: A modern, fully wheelchair-accessible restaurant right next to the cable car station. It offers local cuisine, a children’s corner, an environmental classroom and a spacious terrace with views of the Tatra peaks.
Summer season: Family fun and adrenaline
- Forest Kingdom: A large and safe children’s forest playground full of educational features, including the 15-meter high Royal Lookout Tower.
- Bobsleigh track Bachledka: The starting point of the longest bobsleigh track in the Tatras (1,520 metres), offering safe adrenaline-fuelled fun for the whole family.
- Mountain carts: The starting point for an exhilarating downhill ride on mountain carts along a 2.5 km track directly into the valley.
- Marble run: A popular 100-metre wooden track that playfully connects the Treetop Walk and the Forest Kingdom.
Winter season: Skiing and snow fun
- Skiing on interconnected slopes: The cable car serves as the main and most comfortable access point for skiers. From the ridge, you can descend along 13.4 kilometres of groomed Slopes connecting three valleys – Bachledova dolina, Jezersko and Malá Franková.
- Winter Wonderland Bachledka: A unique winter experience that, on selected days, transforms the area around the Treetop Walk into a fairy-tale setting in the evening and brings visitors an unforgettable magical atmosphere amid snow-covered nature.
- Sledding: For non-skiers and families with children, a popular 2.5 km long Sledding track is available from the ridge. During the Winter Wonderland Bachledka programme, the Sledding track is also open in the evening.
- Cross-country skiing: A panoramic cross-country trail leads directly from the upper station along the ridge of Spišská Magura, guaranteeing beautiful views and plenty of snow.
