RULES OF CONDUCT ON THE SKI SLOPE
To ensure that skiing is a pleasure, it is extremely important to behave on the slope in such a way that our actions do not endanger ourselves or other skiers. All persons on the slope are obliged to comply with the following provisions:
Duties of a person using the ski slope
1. A person on the ski slope is obliged to:
a) behave in such a way as not to endanger the life, health or property of other persons or the ski resort;
b) provide assistance in the event of an accident according to their abilities and possibilities, immediately report the accident to the operator of the ski slope and remain at the scene of the accident until assistance is provided pursuant to Section 8(1)(d) of Act No. 544/2002 Coll. on the Mountain Rescue Service;
c) comply with the rules of conduct on the ski slope and follow the instructions of the operator of the ski slope;
2. A skier and snowboarder (hereinafter referred to as the “skier”) are obliged to adapt their speed and manner of skiing on the ski slope to the nature and condition of the ski slope, their abilities, and the number of skiers on the ski slope;
3. A skier is obliged to choose their direction of travel in such a way as not to endanger the skier ahead. A skier travelling behind another skier is obliged to maintain a sufficient distance to leave the skier ahead enough free space for their direction and manner of skiing;
4. A skier entering the ski slope or wishing to continue skiing after stopping is obliged to make sure that no other person is approaching from above or below, so as not to endanger themselves or another skier;
5. A skier must not stop or stand without good reason on a narrow or obstructed section of the ski slope. A skier who has fallen is obliged to "leave such a place as quickly as possible, if this is possible;"
6. A skier under 18 years of age is obliged to protect their head on the ski slope with a properly fastened protective helmet;
7. A person organising activities on the ski slope is obliged to ensure that a person under 15 years of age wears reflective safety clothing or has reflective safety elements visibly attached to their clothing;
8. During operating hours, a person other than a skier or a person carrying out an activity pursuant to Section 8(1)(d) of Act No. 544/2002 Coll. on the Mountain Rescue Service may enter the ski slope if permitted by the operator of the ski slope. Outside operating hours, entry to the ski slope is permitted if authorised by the operator of the ski slope.
