Gorgy Ski School
Gorgy Ski School in the year-round family Resort BACHLEDKA offers professional and fun ski and snowboard lessons for all age groups – from the youngest kindergarten children to adults and seniors. The team of friendly and experienced instructors will make learning fun for complete beginners and provide effective training for advanced riders.
New for the 2026/2027 winter season: Expansion of the area and 3 new zones
At the BACHLEDKA Resort, we are constantly working to make your winter experiences with your family even safer and more comfortable. We are proud to present a significant expansion of the Gorgy Ski School teaching area by up to 5 000 m²!
For maximum visibility and safety, we have divided the entire ski area on the ridge of Spišská Magura into three specialised zones:
Zone 1: Gorgy Ski School area (Exclusively for students with an instructor)
The main teaching area is located in a safe environment directly on the ridge of Spišská Magura (the Hrebeň slope, to the right of the upper station of the cable car).
- Area facilities: Lessons take place in a fenced area equipped with two safe Conveyor belts (30 and 90 metres long)
- 30-metre belt: An ideal place for taking the first steps on snow, where children gain confidence without stress.
- 90-metre belt: A slope for more advanced students, complemented by a fairytale course full of fun features and obstacles for natural learning through play.
- Exclusivity and safety: For safety reasons, entry to the ski school area is permitted exclusively with a school instructor.
- Two contact points: For maximum visitor comfort, the school has two facilities. The first (main) one is located in the Client Centre building directly on the ridge in the immediate vicinity of the teaching area. The second contact point can be found down below directly in the pedestrian zone in Bachledova Valley.
Zone 2: Public children’s ski zone (For families without an instructor)
A peaceful and safe area separated from the main slope activity, ideal for families and young skiers who want to practise skiing with their parents at their own pace.
- The biggest new feature of the season: A brand-new 94-metre Conveyor belt is located here and is open to the public.
Zone 3: Main ridge (For more advanced skiers)
A wide and perfectly groomed slope for all visitors who want to enjoy a classic day of skiing. It naturally includes access to a classic ski Lift and convenient access to two public children’s Conveyor belts.
Lesson format and language availability
- Lesson length: Each ski lesson lasts 50 minutes.
- Types of lessons: Students can choose highly effective private lessons, fun group lessons (ski kindergarten) or services for organised school ski courses.
- Language availability: Instructors provide lessons in 7 languages: Slovak, Polish, English, German, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian.
Note: Group lessons take place every day at irregular times. Please enquire directly at the ski school on the ridge of Spišská Magura about the availability of this service.
Ski passes and bonuses for students (Important!)
Favourable and clear rules apply when students and their parents travel to the ridge:
- FREE cable car: If lessons take place in the upper school area, the student and their accompanying person (max. 1 adult) are entitled to a free return ride on the cable car. Tickets will be issued by the staff at the ticket office based on the reservation system.
- When you do not need a ski pass: If the student is a beginner and uses exclusively the Conveyor belts in the enclosed school area during the lesson, they do not need to buy a standard ski pass.
- When is a ski pass required: If a pupil uses other Resort transport facilities during the lesson (large Lifts and chairlifts on the Slopes), purchasing a ski pass is mandatory.
Logistics and schedule
Getting to the ridge and getting ready take time, which is why the school strictly requires observing the following time reserves:
- With your own equipment: Arrive at the Resort at least 30 minutes in advance, so that you have enough time to collect your ticket and take the Cable car to the ridge.
- With a visit to the rental shop: If you rent equipment at the Resort, arrive 60 minutes in advance.
- Lesson start: The pupil must be dressed in their equipment and be present directly in the school area at least 5 minutes before the lesson starts. Please note: Late arrival counts towards the lesson time and does not extend it.

To avoid waiting for an available instructor (especially at weekends and during school holidays), booking in advance is strongly recommended.
- Reservations: By phone at +421 910 977 399 or by email at skola@bachledka.sk.
- Free cancellation: The lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge no later than 24 hours before the agreed lesson start time (by phone or email).
