Training Center

The year-round family mountain resort BACHLEDKA offers top-class infrastructure for the development of youth and competitive sport. The offering includes two dedicated training zones – the National Youth Training Centre (NTC) in Malá Franková, and the Otto and Vlado Krajňák Training Centre. These projects, developed in cooperation with the Slovak Ski Federation (ZSL), provide ski clubs with a safe, separate and professional environment for training throughout the season.

Overview of Training Centres and Slopes

  • National Youth Training Centre – Malá Franková (Furmanec Slope): A modern centre built with state support, focused on nurturing young skiing talent. The slope faces north-east, at an altitude above 900 m above sea level. It is accessible directly from Malá Franková (car park), as well as from the upper station of the Bachledka Cable Car and the Jezersko 4-seater chairlift.
  • Otto and Vlado Krajňák Training Slope: A slope named after two significant Slovak skiing figures (Olympian Vlado Krajňák and multiple Masters World Champion Otto Krajňák). The length of the slope exceeds 950 metres, with an elevation gain of 212 metres. It is accessed from the Majstrák slope in Jezersko.

Operating Schedule and Time Blocks

The training centres operate daily and are strictly organised to ensure maximum throughput and safety:

  • Daily operation: From 9:00 to 15:30 (check-in for the first training session is at 8:45).
  • Time blocks: Training sessions run in 6 dedicated blocks: 9:00 – 11:00, 11:00 – 13:00 and 13:00 – 15:00 (i.e. 3-hour slots comprising 120 minutes of track reservation plus 60 minutes for transfer and preparation).
  • Track capacity: On one slope, up to a maximum of 4 courses at once may be set, allowing two clubs to train within a single time block. The maximum recommended number of skiers on one course is 40 people.
  • Changes and delays: Changing the training time is only possible by agreement with the operator. Responsibility for any delay or late arrival on the slope lies with the club itself, so arriving well in advance is required. Extending a training session is possible for a fee, only if the following block is free.

Prices, Bookings and Ski Passes

  • Ticket price: €12 / 3 hours / person (a discounted rate for ZSL members).
  • Ski pass rules: The training ski pass is intended exclusively for the coach and the athletes in training. It does not apply to parents, doctors, drivers or team managers. The pass is purchased by a single person (the coach) based on a name list linked to an online account via a special promo code.
  • Online bookings: The track must be booked online at least 24 hours in advance via this link. If you wish to book an entire slope, please contact us by phone.

Safety and Operating Rules

  • Safety: The training slopes are kept separate from the commercial parts of the resort. After training, the club is required to smooth out the course (spreading out the piled-up snow and minimising snow mounds).
  • Rules: All participants must abide by the BACHLEDKA Resort White Code and the General Terms and Conditions (GTC). The operator reserves the right to change the time, location or cancel training for operational or safety reasons.
