The reality is that today’s society has locked us between four walls and placed both hands on a mobile phone. Worse still, this applies to everyone, including the youngest among us. It is a certain way to entertain them and gain some time for yourself. But is it right? Let’s take a look at how to spend time with children, why to bring them to Bachledka and the surrounding nature, and the different ways you can enjoy a day outdoors, away from the four walls and only pick up your phone if you are taking a family photo together.
What, you keep your photos only on your computer and have never printed any? Here’s another family activity for a day when there’s a blizzard outside and you decide to stay at home after all. Choose the best photos together, have them printed, come up with captions and reminisce together about where and when you were there.
Let’s look at a few more benefits of taking children into nature. Children are naturally curious, and nature is interesting to them. It inspires them, develops their imagination and creativity, stimulates their senses, strengthens their immunity, calms children with excess energy, supports the development of both fine and gross motor skills, and observing their surroundings improves logical thinking. And what will please us adults too is that spending time in nature helps reduce excess weight.
And why are we even thinking about this? Because childhood obesity, stress, behavioural disorders and low levels of concentration have reached epidemic proportions. Children spend all day confined at school and then sit at home in front of a computer, mobile phone or television. And we often come home from work so tired that we do not address it. We leave them to it. We are full of stress after a demanding day, exhausted and craving chocolate or a glass of wine, and the last thing we have the energy for is spending time with the children. At BACHLEDKA, we offer you a simple and all the more magical solution. Come and spend time together in nature and fresh air. At BACHLEDKA, we have plenty of attractions for skiers and non-skiers, young and old, as well as seniors.
A relaxed day of skiing, cross-country skiing and first turns for the little ones
Does it sound like a dream of a perfect winter? At BACHLEDKA, it is a reality. For active

And what about your children? Do they like skiing but have never been on skis? Are you thinking of teaching them a new sport but do not know how? The key is to realise that even if you know how to ski, it is more effective for your child to learn from a trained instructor who knows the right teaching methods and can adapt them to the child’s age. It is all about learning through play, as children develop a relationship with skiing itself from the very beginning. At BACHLEDKA, Gorgy Ski Schooltakes care of this. Every day, instructors are ready for you and your little ones. They will teach every beginner to ski or snowboard in a fun and easy way, or improve the technique of more advanced skiers. The school has conveyor belts, an obstacle course featuring fairytale characters and other fun aids. Individual and group lessons are available.

Magical views and the Treetop Walk
You can experience a wide range of emotions thanks to our best-known attraction – Treetop Walk. Not only will you observe the winter life of the forest from a height of 24 metres above the ground, but you and your children can also explore the thrilling stops and learn more about the surrounding fauna and flora from the educational panels.

After a pleasant, gentle climb that really everyone can manage, you can continue even higher – to the 32-meter high observation tower. At the top, you can enjoy magical views of the snow-covered ridge of the Belianske Tatras, Poland’s Three Crowns or the surrounding villages. Is your curious child wondering which peak they are looking at? Curious adventurers can use the interactive telescope, which not only brings these majestic mountain peaks closer, but also names them.

For brave hikers and explorers, we have one more must-see stop. You can shorten the way down from the observation tower on the longest dry spiral slide in Slovakia, which is also open during the winter season.
