The National Youth Training Centre project in Malá Franková was supported from public sources by the Sports Support Fund. The intention to hold a public tender was published on 28. 7. 2023, offers were submitted by 31. 8. 2023 and evaluated on 6. 9. 2023. Regional network of smart e-bike charging stations
Thanks to a project supported by the Prešov Self-Governing Region, a network of smart charging stations for electric bicycles has been created in the Belianske Tatry and Spišská Magura region.
Thanks to the 2022 Regional Call supported by the Prešov Self-Governing Region, CHODNÍK KORUNAMI STROMOV s.r.o. implemented a project entitled “Regional network of smart e-bike charging stations – Stage I”. As part of the project, the company built 8 e-bike charging stations and 2 e-bike charging stations with photovoltaic roofs. Fully equipped with an information system, charging connectors, 230 V sockets, a USB connector, a compressor and tools, the stations provide cyclists and hikers with a pleasant place to rest, as well as the opportunity to charge an e-bike, watch or mobile phone free of charge.
The charging stations are located at key cycling mobility points in the region: at the Bachledka Ski & Sun resort near the Treetop Walk, in Ždiar near the Strachan guesthouse, in Tatranská Kotlina near the Furman Restaurant, in Spišská Belá near the Beliansky pond, in Červený Kláštor near the Pltník hotel, in Lesnica near Chata Pieniny, in the municipality of Mlynčeky near the sports complex, at Hanušovské sedlo in the cadastral area of the municipality of Veľká Franková, and at Magurské sedlo in the cadastral area of the municipality of Toporec.
By building this network of e-bike stations, our region will be the first to offer visitors and locals comprehensive cycling routes with a minimum total length of 150 km, with no limit on the distance travelled. Thanks to e-bikes, the cycling routes will be accessible to everyone.
