Important conditions: Age and safety

For safety reasons, precise age rules apply to riding the mountain carts:

Mountain cart rides are permitted only for persons over 12 years of age.
Children aged 12 to 15 may ride exclusively accompanied by a person over 18 years of age. The accompanying adult rides their own (separate) mountain cart, for which they pay the full price, and supervises the child’s safety.

Seasonal availability: The attraction is open exclusively during the summer season.
Weather dependency: As this is an outdoor attraction, its operation directly depends on favourable weather. Visitors are advised to check the current operating status in advance (on the Resort website).
Time of last ride: The last ride on a mountain cart is possible no later than 30 minutes before the end of the Resort’s daily operating hours.

Where does the mountain kart track run and how long is it?

The descent runs along a prepared 2.5 km track from the ridge of Spišská Magura down to the central car park in Bachledova dolina, with views of the Belianske Tatras and the forests of the valley. The karts have modern safety features and you set the pace yourself – from a scenic ride to faster cornering.

What is the minimum age for the mountain karts?

Only persons over 12 may ride. Children aged 12–15 may ride only accompanied by a person over 18 – the adult rides in their own separate kart, pays the full price and supervises the child's safety.

When are the mountain karts in operation?

If you buy a combined ticket package for the Treetop Walk or the Kingdom of the Forest, you can add 1 mountain kart ride for just €15 and the cable car ride up is free. The ticket is valid for passing the turnstile at the lower cable car station until 11:30 a.m. Up to 3–4 discounted kart tickets can be added to one family package, depending on the number of people in it.

How do I get to the start of the ride?

The gondola cable car takes you from Bachledova dolina up to the ridge of Spišská Magura. The kart ride ends right at the central car park in the valley, so you return to where you started.
