During the winter season, the popular Treetop Walk and its surroundings at the year-round family mountain resort BACHLEDKA transform into a fairytale setting. Winter Wonderland Bachledka offers visitors an unforgettable adventure under the starry sky, where the evening forest and the lookout trail light up with thousands of lights, turning an ordinary walk into a magical experience.

Themed light installations and trail parameters

The experience is not limited to the trail itself. Winter, Christmas and nature-themed decorations accompany visitors from the moment they arrive at the resort:

Light sculptures and animals: Beautiful light installations, most often shaped like forest animals and winter motifs, await you already in the Bachledka pedestrian zone (near the cable car boarding station). More magical photo spots can be found after reaching the ridge, right by the upper cable car station, at the Panorama Restaurant and in front of the Treetop Walk entrance itself.
Trail specifications: The walk along the illuminated trail is an impressive 1 234 metres long. The wooden structure safely guides you through the forest at a height of up to 24 metres above the ground. The highlight of the trail is the ascent to the majestic 32-meter high observation tower, offering an unparalleled nighttime view of the illuminated resort and the dark silhouettes of the Belianske Tatras.

Evening sledding and important safety rules

Visitors can fully enhance their winter evening experience in Winter Wonderland with an accompanying activity – popular Evening sledding on a 2.5 km-long track.

Track lighting: The Sledding track is not artificially lit along its entire length; for safety reasons, only sections with bends are illuminated.
Headlamps are essential: For a safe and smooth ride, using a headlamp is essential. As the resort has a limited number of headlamps available, visitors are strongly advised to bring their own.
Rental rules: Headlamps are rented at the resort exclusively as an add-on to rented sleds. Visitors who bring their own sleds are not entitled to rent a resort headlamp.

From the High Tatras: Only approx. 15–20 km (approximately 20 minutes by car from Tatranská Lomnica).
From Poprad: A convenient 30 km journey (approx. 35 minutes by car).
From Poland: Excellent accessibility from popular resorts Białka Tatrzańska (approx. 20 km / 25 minutes) and Zakopané (approx. 40 km / 45 minutes), making the attraction a perfect cross-border experience.

Practical information and opening hours

Seasonality: The attraction is open from the second half of December to the first half of March.
Operating days: Magical evenings are available regularly every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Opening hours: Winter Wonderland Bachledka is open from 16:00 to 20:00 (Please note: The last entry to the Treetop Walk is strictly possible at 19:00).
