Earth Day
Our planet also has its special day. Earth Day is a reminder of how precious and irreplaceable the nature around us is. It is a day when we become even more aware of the importance of environmental protection, responsible behaviour, and respect for the world we live in.
Our planet gives us so much every day – clean air, water, forests, mountains, meadows, as well as space for rest, discovery, and life. That is why we should never forget that caring for nature is a shared responsibility of us all. Every step, even the smallest one, can make a difference – from considerate behaviour in nature to everyday decisions through which we contribute to protecting the environment.
Earth Day encourages us to look at nature with greater respect, to recognise its value, and to realise that its beauty and strength deserve both our attention and our protection. It is an opportunity to slow down, take a deep breath, and remind ourselves that a healthy environment is important not only for us, but also for future generations.
Earth Day 2026 in Bachledka
Earth Day in Bachledka will be commemorated on 29 April 2026 in cooperation with the Pieniny National Park. As every year, the event will be held in the spirit of nature protection, environmental education, and practical activities that help children understand the importance of caring for the landscape in which we live. In doing so, we are also following the global Earth Day 2026 call under the motto “Our Power, Our Planet.”
The mountain family resort Bachledka is among the pioneers of responsible and respectful approaches to nature among Slovak resorts. Sustainability is a long-term priority for us, reflected in our motto „Development with respect for nature“. During Earth Day, we will once again turn this idea into concrete action together with children from nearby schools, who will take part in an educational programme led by experts from PIENAP.
The day will include both practical and educational activities focused on discovering nature and protecting the environment. A total of 400 children, together with experts, will take part in planting more than 500 young trees, cleaning up nature in the surroundings of the resort and the Spišská Magura region, while also learning many interesting facts about the forest ecosystem and the functioning of a protected area.
Earth Day in Bachledka is not only a reminder of the importance of our planet, but above all an opportunity to guide the younger generation towards responsibility, ecological thinking, and a positive relationship with nature. Our goal is to create a space where education is connected with experience and where, through joint efforts, we contribute to a healthier and more beautiful environment in the Pieniny and Tatra region.
The educational part of the programme will be provided by employees of the Pieniny National Park, who will explain to children how a forest is created, how to care for it properly, the importance of marked hiking trails, as well as why bird monitoring and the balance between people and nature are so important.
We are looking forward to commemorating Earth Day in Bachledka together once again – actively, meaningfully, and with respect for nature. On 29 April 2026, we will welcome schoolchildren to Bachledka, where they will become part of a day full of learning, movement, and good deeds for our planet.
