Info & FAQs

INFO & FAQs

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS:

1. Nature is accessible to everyone at Bachledka. The entire resort is wheelchair accessible. From boarding the Bachledka gondola lift, walking the Treetop Walk, visiting the PANORAMA restaurant, to returning by gondola – everything is accessible. The Bachledka gondola lift ensures a comfortable trip without transfer issues for families with strollers and also for wheelchair users.

2. We built a gondola lift for you, running from Bachledova Valley to the ridge of Spišská Magura. Thanks to it, you can comfortably and safely reach the Treetop Walk and the PANORAMA restaurant in under 7 minutes. During the winter season, the lift is also used by skiers, who can then choose which valley to ski down.

3. A hiking route to the ridge of Spišská Magura is also available via a forest trail from Bachledova Valley, but only at your own risk. Bachledka and the Treetop Walk are located in the mountains, where weather can be unpredictable and windy. Please choose proper gear (suitable footwear, clothing, and fitness level).

4. From Malá Franková, you can reach the Treetop Walk only on foot. It’s a moderately challenging uphill walk across a meadow, 1.1 km long.

5. From Jezersko, a nature trail leads past Jezerské Lake, bringing you to the ridge of Spišská Magura, to the PANORAMA restaurant, and the Treetop Walk. It’s a moderately challenging hike. We do not recommend taking the ski slope from Jezersko – it’s steep and difficult.

6. Rental. If you don’t have a stroller with you, we will gladly lend you one for a refundable deposit at the entrance to the Treetop Walk. You can also borrow a child carrier from the sports shop next to the Info Centre. Free for children under 1 year. For more information, click HERE.

7. The terrain of the hiking trail is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Hiking can be challenging for small children and seniors. Please consider whether they can handle the climb. If not, we recommend using the gondola lift.

8. Ticket reservations are not required. You can buy them at the ticket offices of the Bachledka Ski & Sun resort in Bachledova Valley or directly at the entrance to the Treetop Walk. Payment by card is also possible. The same rules apply for individual and group visits. Groups are handled with priority at the Info Centre. You can also buy tickets in advance online.

9. Trip duration. Allow 3–4 hours for a hike to the ridge and visit to the Treetop Walk. With the gondola, the trip takes about 1.5–2 hours.

10. The last ticket sale for the gondola and Treetop Walk is always 75 minutes before closing time. The last entry to the Treetop Walk is always 1 hour before closing. Plan your visit accordingly to make sure you get there in time. When hiking, the last ticket sale is at least 1 hour before the last entry. You’ll need about 1 hour to hike from Bachledova Valley to the Treetop Walk, plus time for parking, ticket purchase, etc. To be sure you get in, arrive earlier. You can find current opening hours of the resort and Treetop Walk here.

11. If you’re bringing a dog with you to the Treetop Walk, there are nice kennels available in front of the entrance. Dogs and other animals are not allowed on the Walk itself (not even small dogs, cats, ferrets, etc.).

12. The slide from the observation tower operates depending on the weather (also in winter) and offers a fun ride for adults and children over 120 cm. Tickets are sold directly at the slide. Price: €3.

12. If you use the electric car charging station at our resort, you get FREE parking! Just show proof and validate your parking ticket at the Info Centre.

SENIORS & PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY

Is the Treetop Walk and access to it barrier-free?
Yes, the entire resort is wheelchair accessible and suitable for people with limited mobility – from boarding the lift to the Walk itself, to the PANORAMA restaurant and back.
We care about everyone’s comfort and want nature to be available for all.
During winter, the gondola lift from Jezersko is in operation but only for skiers and snowboarders – hiking access via this lift is strictly forbidden!

Yes. Groups of 15 or more people buying the same type of ticket are eligible for a group discount.

GROUPS

Do we need to notify the group in advance?
No, it’s not necessary. If you’re an organized group, you’ll be given priority when purchasing group tickets at the main ticket office. Each person receives their own ticket, which must be scanned at the turnstile when entering both the gondola and the Treetop Walk.
In winter, a refundable deposit of €2 is charged for the chip card.

What kind of group discount do we get?
If you purchase more than 15 tickets of the same type (Gondola / Treetop Walk), you’re eligible for a discount, which you can find here. You can also buy a combined ticket for both entries.
In winter, if you purchase more than 20 ski passes of the same type, the group receives a 10% discount + every 21st person pays only €2.

We’re a mixed group – for example, 10 adults and 10 children. Do we qualify for a discount?
No. Group discounts apply only when purchasing 15 tickets of the same type (Gondola / Treetop Walk).
Sometimes it may be better to calculate whether a group discount is more advantageous than child rates when buying individually. You can also check out family tickets (2 adults + 1–2 children).
In winter, for skiing groups with 20+ tickets of the same type, the group receives 10% off + every 21st person pays just €2.

Yes, guided tours can be arranged by calling +421 52 44 98 101 or emailing info@chodnikkorunamistromov.sk at least 5 days in advance.

PARKING & TRANSPORT

How far is the Treetop Walk from the parking lot in Bachledova Valley?
From the parking lot in Bachledova Valley, a gondola lift will take you to the ridge by the PANORAMA restaurant, Children’s World, and the Treetop Walk in less than 7 minutes.
The hiking trail is 2.6 km through the forest with a 300 m elevation gain. On foot, it takes about 45 minutes.

Which parking lots belong to Bachledka?
Bachledka Ski & Sun resort operates:

  • P1 and P2 in Bachledova Valley

  • P3 Belské (about 1.5 km away on the left side of the road toward Ždiar)

Parking at our lots marked with the Bachledka logo and operated by our staff is charged according to the price list here.

How do we reach Bachledka by public transport?
You can take buses from Tatranská Javorina, Tatranská Lomnica, Poprad, or Kežmarok to the stop “Bachledova dolina, rázcestie” (1.5 km from the resort).
If coming by train, get off in Poprad and transfer to a bus to Ždiar. A ski bus also runs during the winter season.
More details about how to get here, where to park, and ski bus schedules are available here.

The police wouldn’t let us enter Bachledova Valley — why?
When the parking lots in the valley are full, all vehicles are diverted to backup lots. Once space opens up, cars are allowed back into the valley.

CURRENT CONDITIONS AT THE RESORT

What’s the weather like?
To check the current or upcoming weather, you can view the webcam, or use weather apps for the Ždiar area — they are usually accurate.

Are you open if it rains or snows?
The gondola and Treetop Walk are open in all weather except during storms or high winds. However, in bad weather the experience won’t be as enjoyable. Views from the Walk may be limited, and in foggy conditions you’ll only see the trees nearby.
Please note that the hiking trail is forested and can get muddy when it rains.

Is there somewhere to take shelter if it starts raining?
Yes — the PANORAMA restaurant on the ridge has a large capacity, is baby-friendly, and offers a wide variety of meals suitable for young children.
Inside the PANORAMA building, you’ll also find a café, bar, restrooms, souvenir shop, family facilities, a children’s play area, and an educational room.

How many people are currently in the resort — will we still get to the Treetop Walk?
There is no capacity limit on the Treetop Walk itself. The only concern is finding a parking spot and getting to the entrance in time to buy your tickets.
We recommend not arriving at the last minute — ideally, be in Ždiar at least 2.5 hours before closing.
You never know how long parking or ticket lines will take.
You can check the current situation via the webcams or call +421 52 44 98 101.

How long is the wait to buy tickets?
That depends on the number of visitors, time of day, weather, and the day of the week.
In general, the busiest time is between 10:00 and 14:00, when waiting times are longest — especially during holidays, weekends, and public holidays.
You can avoid the wait by purchasing your tickets in advance via the e-shop.

We care about high-quality services and your comfort. That’s why we built a 10-seater gondola, opened the PANORAMA restaurant, and added the PANORAMA Apartments and BACHLEDKA Apartments for accommodation. The entire Bachledka Ski & Sun mountain resort area, including all services, is fully accessible.

We wish you a wonderful trip to the Bachledka Ski & Sun mountain resort and an unforgettable experience among the treetops and other attractions.
