IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. In Bachledka, nature is accessible to everyone. The entire center is barrier-free. From boarding the Bachledka cable car, through a walk through the Treetop Walk, the PANORAMA restaurant, to returning by cable car. The Bachledka cable car will provide you with a comfortable trip without any transfer problems for families with children and strollers, but also for wheelchairs.

2. We have built a cable car leading from Bachledova dolina to the ridge of Spišská Magura for you. Thanks to it, you can drive comfortably and safely to the Treetop Walkway and the PANORAMA restaurant in less than 7 minutes. During the winter season, it is also used for skiers, who can then decide which valley to ski.

3.  A hike to the ridge of Spišská Magura is also possible along the forest hiking trail from Bachledova dolina, but only at your own risk. Both Bachledka and the Treetop Walk are in the mountains, where the weather is changeable and windy. Please choose appropriate equipment (suitable shoes, suitable clothing, fitness).

4. From Mala Franková you can ONLY get to Treetop Walk on foot. It is a 1.1 km long uphill path through a meadow of medium difficulty.

5. From Jezersko there is an educational hiking trail around Lake Jezerské, which will take you to the ridge of Spišská Magura, to the panoramic restaurant PANORAMA and to the Treetop Walk. It is a moderately difficult ascent. We do not recommend the path along the slope from Jezersko, because it is steep and difficult.

6. Rental office. If you do not have a carriage with you, we will be happy to lend it to you for a refundable deposit at the entrance to Chodník. 7. The terrain of the hiking trail is not suitable for baby carriages and wheelchairs. Hiking can be difficult for small children and seniors. Consider whether they can handle the ascent, otherwise we recommend using the cable car.

8. Tickets cannot be ordered in advance or reserved. You can buy them at the cash desks of the Bachledka Ski&Sun mountain center in Bachledová valley or directly at the entrance to Treetop Walk, and they can also be paid by credit card. The same conditions apply to both individual and group entries. Groups are dealt with preferentially in the Infocenter of the mountain center Bachledka Ski&Sun

9. Length of trip. Set aside 3-4 hours for a walk to the ridge with a visit to Treetop Walk. For a trip with the cable car 1.5 – 2 hours.

10. The last sale of tickets for the cable car and Treetop Walk is always 65 minutes before the end of opening hours. The last entrance to Treetop Walk is still an hour before the end of opening hours! Customize your trip to make sure you get to Treetop Walk on time. When exiting on foot, the sale is at least one hour before the last entrance to Treetop Walk. You need about 1 hour to climb to Treetop Walk from Bachledová valley, plus parking, buying tickets, etc. In order to be sure that you will get to Treetop Walk, it is better to come early. 11. If you are required to take a dog on the Trail, nice aviaries are prepared for you before entering the Trail. Dogs or other animals do not have to go on the Path itself / even small dogs, cats, ferrets, etc./.

12. The toboggan from the observation tower is in operation (even during the winter season) and offers a fun ride for adults and children from 120 cm. Tickets for it are on sale right next to the toboggan. You can find the price of one ride find HERE.

TICKETS AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

Where and how are tickets purchased? Tickets can be purchased at the cash desks of the Bachledka Ski&Sun mountain resort at the cable car boarding station, directly at the entrance to the Treetop Walk or at the Infocentre. The last sale of tickets for the cable car with Chodník is always 75 minutes before the last entrance to Chodník. The last entrance to Chodník is still an hour before the end of opening hours! Customize your trip to make sure you get to Chodník on time. When going out on foot, the last possible sale of tickets is at least one hour before the last entrance to the Chodník. It takes about 1 hour to hike to Chodník from Bachledová dolina, plus parking, buying tickets, etc. In order to be sure that you will get to Chodník, it is better to come early. How can I pay? It is possible to pay in EUR /€/ and payment cards at cash registers, shops and restaurants. Payment in other currencies (e.g. PLN, HUF) is not possible.

Is it possible to buy tickets online? No, tickets can only be purchased at the cash desks of the Bachledka Ski&Sun mountain resort, in the Infocenter building in the pedestrian zone of the Bachledka Ski&Sun mountain center in Bachledova dolina, or at the ticket offices at the entrance to the Treetop Walk.

We are a group, do we have to queue for tickets? No, you can also buy tickets for groups at the Infocenter in Bachledová dolina, where groups are dealt with first. If the whole group goes on foot to Chodník, tickets will also be sold at the ticket office at the entrance to Chodník by the treetops. A group is considered an organized group of persons entitled to the same type of ticket. A group ticket for the entire group is issued by the group leader. Group members cannot purchase group tickets individually.

Can tickets be reserved for a specific date – day and hour? No, ticket booking is not possible. Due to the number of visitors and the occupancy of parking lots, it would be difficult to guarantee that you will get to Chodník on time. Tickets for Chodník will not be sold. They are sold continuously according to the opening hours of the center and the rules set by them. When going out on foot, the last possible sale of tickets is at least one hour before the last entrance to the Chodník. It takes about 1 hour to hike to Chodník from Bachledová dolina, plus parking, buying tickets, etc. In order to be sure that you will get to Chodník, it is better to come early. Do you provide discounts for students, accommodated guests, holders of Gopass, ISIC, ITIC, ZŤP cards or other discounts? The ticket price list takes into account age tariffs and provides discounts for children, seniors and families. Holders of a ZŤP-S card are entitled to a discount, both for themselves and their guide. Holders of the ZŤP-S card are entitled to the entrance fee in the senior tariff. The guide of a ZŤP-S card holder has a free ticket. Discounts cannot be combined. The Gopass card is not valid with us.

You sell tickets online, why is it not possible to send them by email? Only gift vouchers can be purchased in the online store, which you can give to your loved ones. We will send you printed ones by post. It is not an online ticket sale.

Do you have an ATM – exchange office in the center? There is currently no ATM or exchange office in Bachledova dolina. The nearest ATM is located in the village of Ždiar in the post office building. In the future, we plan to install an ATM in Bachledova dolina as well.

VISIT WITH CHILDREN

Is it possible to go to Treetop Walk with a baby carriage? The path through the treetops is accessible by a cable car from Bachledova valley, which also transports children in prams without any problems. You can also rent a carriage for a refundable deposit at the entrance to the Treetop Walk. Hiking with a stroller or small children or people with limited mobility is not suitable. A 2.6 km long forest path leads to it from Bachledova valley. We recommend taking small children in a tourist carrier, which you can rent at the Infocenter in Bachledová valley. You can rent a carriage for free directly at the entrance to the Treetop Walk.

Where can you rent a carriage? Do you have enough of them and are they free? Baby strollers can be rented at the ticket office at the entrance to the Treetop Walk. There are 5 high-quality MOON carriages available, which has proven to be a sufficient number so far. A cashier will lend you a carriage for a refundable deposit of €20.

Where can you rent a baby carrier? Are they free? A baby carrier can be rented in the sports shop, which is located next to the Infocentre. The Ergobaby carrier is suitable for children up to 1 year old and is free for a refundable deposit of €20. A tourist carrier suitable also for older children up to 18 kg can be rented for €5 + a refundable deposit of €20.

Is the Treetop Walk a suitable destination for a school trip? Yes, the Treetop Walk is a very suitable excursion destination for schools with children of different ages. Children can climb the Treetop Walk, there are various educational stops and games on the Treetop Walk itself. There are playgrounds and other children’s attractions in the vicinity of Treetop Walk.

Can even children manage the ascent to Chodník? The path to the Treetop Walk from Bachledova valley is 2.6 km long with an elevation gain of 300 m. At a classic pace, it takes about 45 minutes. – 1 hour. Children from about 4 years of age can climb with breaks. But don’t forget the right shoes and clothes. You go to the forest and you are in a mountain environment where the weather is changeable.

Is movement on the sidewalk safe for children? Yes, all parts of the Treetop Walk are secured so that nothing happens to children. All parts – railings, adrenaline obstacles and others are secured with metal mesh.

 

SENIORS AND PEOPLE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY

Is the Walkway and access to it barrier-free? The entire center is barrier-free and suitable for people with limited mobility. From getting on the cable car, visiting the treetop walkway, the PANORAMA restaurant with facilities, and returning by cable car. We think about everyone’s comfort and we also want nature to be accessible to everyone. During the winter season, the cable car from Jezersko operates exclusively for skiers or snowboarders. Pedestrians are strictly prohibited from climbing this cable car!

Do I have a discount as a senior, a citizen with social disability? The price list adjusts the prices for senior citizens and citizens with a disability card who pay the tariff as senior citizens. Visitors with a classic disability card are not entitled to a discount.

We are a group of retirees, what discount do we have? As a group of more than 15 people entitled to the same type of ticket, you are also entitled to a group discount. Then the ticket price according to the price list that you can find on this page. In the winter season, an organized group of over 20 people entitled to the same type of ticket is considered a group of skiers. A group of skiers is entitled to a group discount from the given tariff, i.e. 10% discount for the whole group + every 11th person has a ski pass for a symbolic value

GROUPS

Is it necessary to register the group in advance? No it’s not. If you are an organized group, we will preferably sell you group tickets in the Infocentre. Each person has their own ticket, which they attach to the turnstile at the entrance to the cable car and at the entrance to the Treetop Walk. In the winter season, €2 per chip card is added to the deposit.

What is our group discount? When you buy more than 15 tickets of the same type (cable car / footpath), you are entitled to a discount, which you can find on this page. You can also buy a set of one ticket for both entrances. In the winter season, when you buy more than 20 tickets of the same type, you are entitled to a 10% discount for the whole group + every 11th person in the group has a ticket for €2.

We are a mixed group, e.g. 10 adults and 10 children. Are we entitled to a discount? No, you are entitled to a group discount when buying 15 tickets of the same type (cable car / footpath). Sometimes it is worth recalculating whether the group discount will be higher than the discount for children if you buy tickets separately. Alternatively, we also offer family tickets (2 adults + 1-2 children). In the winter season for skiers, when buying more than 20 tickets of the same type, you are entitled to a 10% discount for the entire group + every 11th person in the group has a ticket according

Do we have to have a guide? You do not need a guide to visit the Treetop Walk. You can also enjoy the trail independently. You can find interesting information about the local nature on the educational boards located along the Treetop Walkway route.

Can we order a tour guide? If so, how? Yes, you can order the escorts by phone at 052/449 81 01 or by email at info@chodnikkorunamistromov.sk at least 5 days in advance. Several educational programs with PIENAP staff are on offer.

We will come by bus, where can we stop? The bus can take you to Bachledova valley and then wait in the parking lot. The parking price list can be found on this page

We are an agency and we regularly go to Treetop Walk with clients, do we always have to pay for entry? No, we have passes for guides from agencies that entitle them to free entry. The card will be issued to you at the Infocentre. To display it, you need a photo and data of your company. The condition is to visit the center with a large group at least 10 times per season.

TREETOP WALK AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Can I visit Treetop Walk with my dog or other pet? No animals are allowed on the Treetop Walk. Not even on a leash, in a crate or bag. Special aviaries with fresh water are prepared at the entrance to Treetop Walk, where you can safely leave your pet during your visit to Treetop Walk. Aviaries are available free of charge. The keys to the aviaries are available for a refundable deposit of €5 at the ticket office at the entrance to Treetop Walk.

PARKING AND ARRIVAL

Where is the nearest place to park? The nearest parking lots are located directly in the Bachledka Ski & Sun resort. Approximately 1,000 parking spaces are available.

How far is Treetop Walk from the parking lot in Bachledová valley? From the parking lot in Bachledová valley, there is a cable car that transports you to the ridge to the Panorama restaurant, the Children’s World and the Treetop Walk in less than 7 minutes. From the parking lot in Bachledová valley, it is 2.6 km to the ridge along a forest road with an elevation gain of 300 m. The journey takes about 45 minutes.

Which parking lots belong to Bachledka? Bachledka Ski&Sun mountain center has parking lots P1 and P2 in Bachledova valley, parking lot P3 Belské (about 1.5 km from Bachledova valley, on the left side of the road towards Ždiar), parking lot P5 under the slope in Mala Franková and parking lot P6 under the slope in the village of Jezersko .

How much is the parking fee? Parking fees in our parking lots marked with our logo and serviced by our staff are charged according to the price list on this page

How do we get to Bachledka by public transport? There are buses from Tatranská Javorina, Tatranská Lomnica, Poprad and Kežmark at the Bus stop Bachledova valley, crossroads (1.5 km to the Bachledka resort). If you are coming by train, get off in Poprad and change to a bus to Ždiar. A ski bus also operates in the winter season. The police didn’t let us into Bachledova dolina, why? If the parking spaces in Bachledova dolina are full, all cars are diverted to the parking lots. If the parking spaces in the valley become free, more cars are allowed into the valley.

CURRENT SITUATION IN THE CENTER

What is the weather? If you want to find out what the weather is/will be like, you can look at the webcam, or follow Ždiar weather forecast apps which are quite accurate.

Are you open if it rains or snows? The cable car and Treetop Walkway are open in all weathers, unless there is a storm or gale. In bad weather, however, you will not get much out of the walk. The views from Treetop Walk will be bad, you will only see the surrounding trees in the fog. The pedestrian access road is in the forest, and in the rain you must also expect mud.

Do we have somewhere to hide if it starts raining? The Panorama restaurant is located on the ridge, which has a large capacity, is in a baby-friendly standard and offers a large number of dishes suitable for the smallest. The building of the PANORAMA Bachledka restaurant also houses a cafe and bar, sanitary facilities, a souvenir shop, facilities for families with small children, a children’s corner and an educational room.

How many people are in the center, will we still get to the Treetop Walk? The capacity of the Treetop Walk is not limited. The question is where you will find a parking space, whether you will be able to get to Treetop Walk and buy tickets in time. Therefore, we recommend not to go at the last minute and to be in Ždiar no later than 2.5 hours before the end of opening hours. How long does it take to buy tickets? It depends on the number of people in the center, hour, day, weather. In general, the most people are between 10:00 and 14:00, when waiting times are longer. The wait is longer during holidays, weekends and public holidays.
