Bachledova Valley
Runners took the cable car to the start, the weather was perfect, and the views were beautiful. Endless mountains under a bright blue sky. Nearly 900 runners completed the scenic routes in Bachledova Valley. The third stop of Behaj Lesmi had it all!
As tradition has it, the youngest runners opened the day. In the Tatras, 226 children stood at the start line! These forest cubs were divided into six age groups and ran distances of 100, 500, or 1000 meters. The youngest competitor was only a year old and reached the finish line with a smile, holding hands and cheered on by the crowd!
Soon after, runners took on the longest route: 20 km with 556 m elevation in Slovakia’s highest mountains – a true challenge. Adam Horváth finished first with a time of 01:27:40. Among women, Zuzana Gajdošová led with 01:52:21.
Next came the foresters on the “Lesnícka 10” route, sponsored by LESY SR. Ten challenging kilometers through forest terrain awaited 265 runners. The winner was Stanislav Zacha (00:44:43), and the queen of this route was Majka Huberová (00:55:32).
The JOJ ŠPORT RUN charity race became a competitive event this year, with 213 participants. The race supported Juliána, who is in a reduced state of consciousness and needs special therapies. The amount raised: exactly €1,790.
The race village was located at Bachledka Ski & Sun. The forest pack could walk the Treetop Walk, enjoy ALPA massages, test CRAFT running shoes, or get a body check-up at the Dr. Max booth. A forest kindergarten by Dr. Max was available for kids. On the main routes, runners competed for valuable tire vouchers from Continental in the 150-meter CONTI SPEED SECTION – awarded to the fastest man and woman.
After this race, as always, the organizers and founding partner LESY SR will plant one tree for every runner. Last season alone, 7,423 trees were added to Slovak forests!
